Some
say the idea of “family” is in danger of becoming extinct.
Those values that we hold so dear are being replaced by portable
video games, name brand sneakers, and reality TV. Where does
one turn to relive the days of old when “family” meant a Sunday
night pot roast, visits to grandma’s house, and a wood-panelled
station wagon in the driveway? Certainly not Acorn place.
Although it's a strip about family life, Acorn Place
really focuses on the relationship of two fraternal twins
named Nikki and Jake Sandison and what it means to be kids
growing up in the turbulence of the twenty first century.
Scraped knees and climbing trees, struggles at school, and
all things cool, that's Acorn Place in a nutshell.
